| Home team’s responsibilities
The game card (.html
ver) (Word .doc) must be brought
to the game by the HOME team captain. It should be completed
with the home team’s players including their shirt numbers
and USFHA numbers and expiry dates. Additionally the home
team will complete the field, date and time details.
It is recommend that each team captain put this information
on to a 2"by 2" address label so that it can be
easily attached rather than having to write it out each time.
The home team captain will give this card to the umpire. The
umpire will check the players on the card with the players
preparing to play. This will occur about 10 minutes before
the scheduled game time.
Players not on the list cannot play. Players who do not have
USA field hockey memberships cannot play. Players whose USFHA membership
has expired cannot play. It is the responsibility of the Captain
to ensure the player conformance with the league’s rules.
Visiting team’s responsibilities:
The umpire will give the game card to visiting team who will
complete their half of the card and then the umpire will check
it.
Umpire’s duties
The umpire will keep the game card throughout the match. The
umpire will record the shirt numbers of players who score goals.
The umpire will also record the shirt numbers of the players
who are awarded disciplinary cards for misconduct. The teams
are requested to aid the umpire in this process by ensuring
that every player has a shirt with a unique number on it and
by reporting the player’s number after a goal to the umpire
with the card.
Winning captain’s duties
At the end of the game the umpire will tally the score and
record it in the boxes provided. Each captain will sign to
approve the record and the winning captain will be given responsibility
for the card. In the event of a tie the home team captain
will be responsible for posting the results on-line. See on-line
submission form. |
