Selections Chairperson’s report: This position is currently vacant.

VII./VIII/IX Election of Officers: The election of officers was postponed by unanimous consent to facilitate participation by all clubs. A special election will be held at the field during the season’s first game day. Nominations are due by the end of February.

X. Other business
1. The proposal was amended as such: “BAFHA will pay the entry fee to the Club Cup Championships for the designated representative club of BAFHA. The designated representative club shall be the winner of regular league play. If that club is unable to represent BAFHA, the opportunity shall be consecutively passed down to the next club in the rankings until a designate has accepted. They payment shall be in the form of a reimbursement after attendance.” The amended motion passed.

2. The request for field time for the Youth Hockey program was provisionally granted. Specifics are to be determined after field availability is known. The consensus was that this time should be at the end of game day rather than the middle.

3. The need for some sort of organized social hockey was reiterated. This could be taking place concurrently with the youth hockey activities (half-field each). It was suggested that the position of Secretary of Social Hockey be created to drive this forward. The position will be up for vote at the special election.

4. Proposals from the floor:
a) Motion: “Any ban of a player from the league, extending for one season or more shall be reviewed by the Executive Council. “ The motion passed.
b) A turf field facility exists in Hayward. Rental costs are ~$30/hour, which is considered an attractive price.
c) To facilitate the search for expanded facilities, it was suggested that the position of “Secretary for Field Development”, reporting to the Executive Council be created. The position will be listed on the slate for the Special Election.

Correction:
For teams wanting to participate in the league, the first installment of $500 will be due at the end of February (not the first week of matches as originally published). This payment will be required to reserve a slot in the league schedule. An additional payment of $350 will be due at the end of March. The due date for the remainder of the league dues will be set at a later time.

Meeting was adjourned. Slate for special election (nominations received to date)
