Insurance application has been submitted for Berkeley.
There is the possibility of playing some matches on Friday evenings for teams that do not have to commute far. Field space is available, typically starting around 5:30 pm. Stanford Storm is currently using some of that time for practices, but can yield it to BAFHA if needed.
A proposal was made to structure league similarly to the way the Southern California and NCFHA leagues are run:
Pool all the players, then split them into assigned teams.
This would make more balanced teams and thus more competitive matches.
The consensus was that at this time it was too late to organize this, but it could be tried out for a mid-season tournament. Kampreet will prepare a detailed proposal for the Executive to consider.
Santa Clara asked if the team dues could be paid in installments as it is difficult for them to collect dues at the beginning of the season. The proposal is to have half of the amount be due prior to commencement of the league, and the remainder at a later date to be determined by the executive, but no later than mid-season.
Executive to decide by next week.
BAFHA is now registered as a "club" with USAFH. Participants who are not already registered with a Club under USAFH, should choose BAFHA when registering/renewing so their registrations will become visible to BAFHA.
This does not replace the requirement to provide a printed USAFH card at all matches. It simply provides an additional layer of verification.
