Decision of the committee: Registration

registration fee for each team must be paid in full by February
1st 2000.
The remainder of the fees to be paid by March 15th 2000. If

teams will be required to attend and bring with them their
initial $500 registration fee. Approved unanimously.
Decision of the committee: Once
Heidi Faith and Afzal Siddiqui have compiled the field availability
the secretary will develop a draft schedule to present to
the teams. Approved by consensus affirmation.
Decision of the committee: A
competition committee will be formed to address members issues
regarding the level of competitive play and other issues.
The competition committee will also be responsible for purchasing
a trophy for the league. Harv Dhaliwal, Shahid Chaudhry, Peter
Buckingham and Vasu Madabushi volunteered to participate in
the committee. Approved by consensus affirmation.
Decision of the committee: Teams
must provide a minimum number (7 or 8) of their own players
in order to play. This vote was tied 5 to 5 with the President
casting the deciding vote for 7. Failure to do so will result
in a forfeit. Each team must have a goal keeper (rule 6.3
of FIH) who may be "borrowed" from other teams.
If a goalkeeper is "borrowed" each team is still
required to have 7 of their own team's players. No other players
may be borrowed. Approved by consensus affirmation.
Decision of the committee: Team
representatives to be the sole party responsible for their
players maintaining a current membership with the USFHA. Failure
to maintain a current membership exposes the league to liability
issues and possible exclusion from the USFHA. Approved unanimously.
The secretary will investigate under what rules visiting players
from overseas may play in the league with USFHA and will report
back to the league executive committee.
Announcement by the secretary:
In the 2001 season Game
Cards will be issued to each team. The teams must include
on the game card the roster for the team which will include
the player's name, shirt number, USFHA number and expiry date.
Umpires will be required to check each player against the
roster to determine that only the team's own players are playing
and that the USFHA memberships are current. Any player who
does not have a current USFHA membership will not be allowed
to play. At the end of the game thecards will be completed
showing the goal scorers, final score and the namesof any
players receiving disciplinary cards. The winning captain
will beresponsible for mailing the game card to the league.
Decision of the committee:
Fee for umpires will be $10 for player umpires,$35 for USFHA
rated umpires at the sectional grade. Approved by consensusaffirmation.
Rates for National and International grades will be determinedat
a later date. Approved by consensus affirmation. The secretary
willorganize an umpiring clinic with help from Heidi Faith.
The league will makeevery effort to get more rated umpires
in the next season.
Decision of the committee: The
published time on the schedule will beconsidered "Game
Time" - players wishing to warm up will need to be at
the field ahead of game time. 90 minute slots will be reserved
for games to allow for half time and injuries without affecting
the next game. Approved by consensus affirmation.
